Twisha Sharma Probe: Will Samarth Singh’s Surrender Lead To A Breakthrough? | India Upfront

In this episode of India Upfront, Pranesh Roy is joined by an expert panel to discuss the Twisha Sharma death case. Samarth Singh was arrested 10 days after he disappeared following the death of his wife, Twisha Sharma. He appeared before the Jabalpur court to surrender after the 33-year-old was found dead on May 12, but was directed by the court to surrender in Bhopal instead. The case drew intense scrutiny amid criticism of the Madhya Pradesh Police over the handling of the investigation. Questions were raised after the belt allegedly used by Twisha Sharma for hanging was reportedly not sent for forensic examination during the autopsy process. Concerns were also voiced over the alleged influence of co-accused and Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, a retired judge, on the probe. She has additionally been accused of not cooperating with investigators. Watch to know more.
