The press note issued by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City stated, “It has come to notice that a post has been circulated on social media under the heading ‘COCKROACH JANATA PARTY KARNATAKA,’ in which an invitation has been given to gather in large numbers in front of Town Hall on 24th May 2026 for the purpose of forming a ‘peaceful human chain.’ Through this notice, it is hereby informed that no application has been received from any individual, organisation, or political party seeking permission to conduct the above-mentioned program near Town Hall, and no official permission has been granted in this regard. Further, no permission has been obtained from the GBA office for the use of the said location for the program.”
