Judge Dismisses Charges Against Anti-ICE Protesters in Chicago Over Prosecutorial Conduct

Federal prosecutors have dropped all charges against a group of anti-ICE demonstrators known as the Broadview Six, just days before their trial was scheduled to begin. US District Judge April Perry dismissed the case on Thursday, citing serious prosecutorial misconduct in the grand jury process. She said records showed prosecutors improperly “vouched” for the case, dismissed jurors who were against indictment, and discussed the matter with grand jurors outside the official proceedings.
