During the probe, investigators recovered a half-burnt cloth allegedly soaked in petrol from the coach. Smoke was detected near the bathroom area, following which railway staff quickly used fire extinguishers to control the situation. The Railway Ministry said prompt action by railway staff helped prevent a major disaster.
