Vaughan further said that if Hardik wants to lead an IPL team, MI-Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) can strike a deal for Hardik-Green swap. Kolkata Knight Riders’ performance in IPL 2026 wasn’t as bad as MI’s, but Ajinkya Rahane’s form has put his place in the KKR under threat. Reports are doing rounds that KKR might release Rahane, and will have a new captain next year.
