Mercedes-AMG’s new GT 4-Door Coupe has gone electric, but the numbers suggest this is still very much an AMG first and an EV second. The all-new four-door performance car makes up to 1,169 hp and more than 1,350 Nm, putting it in the same conversation as some of the fastest electric performance cars currently being developed globally. It is also the first major AMG model based on the brand’s dedicated AMG.EA electric platform. Beyond the headline power figure, the car introduces new axial-flux motors, a performance-focused battery setup and even artificial V8 sound effects designed to make the experience feel closer to a traditional AMG.
