The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday conducted searches at multiple locations in Chandigarh and Ludhiana as part of its investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds belonging to Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) and the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
According to the CBI, searches were carried out at five locations, including the residences and business premises of suspected beneficiaries of the allegedly siphoned funds. The agency also searched premises linked to Anubhav Mishra, an official of Chandigarh Smart City Limited, and other private entities connected to the case.
During the raids, the CBI recovered and seized several incriminating documents and electronic records, including digital storage devices, digital signatures, property-related documents, financial records, electronic devices and other materials relevant to the investigation.
