In the latest episode of Baatein Dil Se with Navika Kumar, lyricist Manoj Muntashir came down heavily on the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and its supporters, alleging that anti-India slogans were raised during the NEET paper leak protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. He clarified that he is not defending the paper leak and demanded accountability from the system but stated he would not go to Jantar Mantar to take part in the CJP-led protest.
Manoj Muntashir On CJP-Led Protest
Speaking to Times Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar on her podcast Baatein Dil Se, Manoj Muntashir shared his point of view on the ongoing protests in New Delhi pertaining to the NEET paper leak. Manoj made it clear that he would never join the protest since he does not subscribe to CJP’s ideology. He said, “I will never go to Jantar Mantar. I don’t feel comfortable standing with those who are currently leading this movement there. The youth of this country deserve better leadership than the CJP.”
Addressing the leak, Manoj added that the system will have to provide answers. “Nobody in this world will defend the NEET paper leak. Even if a single life was claimed, then the entire system will have to be answerable.” However, he added that the CJP-led protest has drifted away from its original topic.
“Are they even talking about the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar? I have been seeing the kind of speeches being given and the kind of people coming. People who believe in ‘Bharat tere tukde’ are joining. People who don’t consider Kashmir a part of India are arriving. I am calling them traitors with great responsibility. Calling our Lord Shri Ram Sita’s husband is so derogatory,” Manoj opined.
