Glasgow, Scotland will host the 2026 Commonwealth Games from July 23 to August 2, 2026. Victoria, Australia, was the first set to host the Commonwealth Games in 2026. When Australia withdrew owing to rising event expenses, Glasgow took its place. In order to keep expenses under control after taking over as the substitute host, Glasgow, this year’s CWG organiser, only scheduled ten core sports. However, the attention would be on the famous Commonwealth Mile race, which will make a comeback at the 2026 Commonwealth Games after 60 years.
