The Centre has ordered the deployment of 20 additional companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Delhi to bolster security arrangements amid the ongoing CJP protests and demonstrations planned by various political parties, officials said on Wednesday.
According to officials, the additional CRPF personnel have been rushed to the national capital from West Bengal as a precautionary measure to assist the Delhi Police in maintaining law and order. The deployment comes in view of heightened security concerns surrounding the protests, with authorities aiming to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure public safety. Security has also been tightened at key locations across the city, particularly in areas expected to witness demonstrations.
