Firefighters have halted the forward spread of a vegetation fire that broke out in Alameda County, California, on Monday afternoon, authorities said. The Crow Fire started at about 12:45 p.m. near the junction of Crow Canyon Road and Norris Canyon Road, between Castro Valley and San Ramon.
