A large police contingent, along with central forces, fire service personnel, the Block Development Officer (BDO) and the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer (BLRO), was deployed at the site as bulldozers began razing the structure. According to police sources, notices had earlier been issued over the alleged unauthorised construction, but no one appeared for the scheduled hearing.
