The controversy stems from remarks made by Omar Abdullah while addressing party workers at a gathering, where he alleged that BJP leaders were offering Rs 20-30 crore to NC legislators, along with ministerial berths and promises of restoring Jammu & Kashmir’s statehood, in an attempt to engineer defections.
