Former India captain Sourav Ganguly revealed how MS Dhoni was fast-tracked to the Indian cricket team. Dhoni made his debut under Ganguly in 2004, but did not have a great outing and was run out for a duck. But even before Dhoni was included in the team, he had caught the eye of the captain and selectors, and thus got the backing he deserved. Months later, Ganguly made a defining move that changed Dhoni’s career. He promoted him at No.3 against Pakistan in Visakhapatnam, and Dhoni responded with a blistering 148 off 123 balls.
