Without naming specific countries, he added that while social media in some places may be dominated by what he described as “anti-Israeli, anti-Semitic material”, many foreign leaders continue to engage with Israel privately. “So the relations are not quite as they appear, and we have, we have many, many friends,” he said, adding that some leaders contact him to sign agreements or seek advice on Israeli military capabilities.
