Alpha has several action-packed moments throughout, but the film’s biggest surprise is reserved for the final act. A major portion of the story portrays Bobby Deol’s enigmatic character, Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat, as a dangerous antagonist who operates in the shadows. However, the climax reveals that Fateh’s real identity is much bigger than anyone ever imagined. This revelation not only changes the conflict of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s characters, Sita and Durga, but also raises the emotional stakes of the film, opening up new possibilities for the YRF Spy Universe. In Alpha, Bobby proves yet again why he has become Bollywood’s ultimate villain in his career’s second inning.
