Just more than a week after winning his first world championship, Sami Zayn is set for his first title defence and he will put it on the line against Cody Rhodes on next week’s Raw. Cody earned the title opportunity by defeating Jey Uso on Smackdown. WWE taped this week’s Smackdown right after Monday Night Raw. The show will be streamed on Friday (July 3). Jey and Cody locked horns in the number one contender’s match, where the American Nightmare won. Surprisingly, WWE booked the title match for next week’s Raw instead Smackdown. Both superstars are part of the blue brand.
