Speaking on the importance of CUET, the Vice Chancellor of DU, Yogesh Singh, said that CUET has helped address disparities that arose from different evaluation standards followed by school education boards across the country. He highlighted that the admission earlier was based on Class 12 marks, and some boards were considered to be more liberal in terms of awarding marks. CUET became the common benchmark for all the students, and even since its implementation, it has been giving good results.
