Brain Fog at Work? Neurologists Warn Corporate Stress Could Be Rewiring Your Brain

According to Dr. Sadique Pathan, Consultant Neurologist, Sahyadri Hospitals, brain fog refers to a group of symptoms including poor concentration, forgetfulness, slower reaction times, mental fatigue, and reduced productivity. “While sporadic cognitive mistakes are common, frequent occurrence of brain fog is normally due to stress arising from chronically stressful work. Biologically, stress from work leads to the secretion of hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, and their continued secretion affects brain activities such as cognition and decision making,” he said.
