What she does is simple – and hence replicable, besides feeling utterly healing. Choose two colours that you connect with the most and pull out a sheet of paper that preferably runs long. Slowly and intentionally, draw in a deep breath and as you do, draw a line – straight, curved, bobbing (basically whatever feels natural) – from one end of the paper, pulling it in towards the centre. Stop the line as you stop drawing in the breath and take your hand to the opposite side of the sheet. Start releasing your breath and with it, the next line – same rule. Stop once you’ve completely let out the breath. Now repeat this for the remaining length of the paper. At some point, your mind will completely shut off (in the best way possible!) and you will find your body, breath and paper, all on the same page.
