Among the 15,68,867 candidates registered for CUET UG 2026, the General category accounted for the largest share with 6,86,419 registrations, followed by OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates at 5,28,838. The SC category recorded 1,71,397 registrations, while 95,464 candidates belonged to the ST category and 86,749 to the EWS category. In terms of attendance, 4,98,652 General category candidates appeared for the exam, followed by 4,01,471 OBC candidates, 1,28,871 SC candidates, 67,245 ST candidates, and 67,859 EWS candidates. Overall, 11,64,098 candidates appeared for the examination.
