A US military operation in the Caribbean has left two suspected narco-traffickers dead and six others rescued after a vessel allegedly linked to designated terrorist organisations was struck during a counter-narcotics mission, according to US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). The strike was carried out on June 21 under Operation Southern Spear, an ongoing military campaign targeting organisations accused by Washington of combining organised crime, drug trafficking and terrorism-related activities.
