Delhi-NCR residents witnessed a dramatic shift in the weather on Friday (April 17) as the day began with intense heat that left people exhausted. Still, by evening, strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain brought sudden relief. In several areas, temperatures dropped by 7 to 10 degrees Celsius, offering a much-needed break from the scorching conditions. The Safdarjung observatory recorded the highest temperature of the season so far at 41 degrees Celsius. Areas like Palam and Ridge also saw the mercury crossing the 40-degree mark.
