Kerala On Alert As Critical Nipah Case Emerges; 77 Contacts Being Monitored, 2 In Highest-Risk Category

As per reports, a total of 77 people have been identified in the contact list so far. Out of them, 58 are healthcare workers, 14 are family members and five are friends and colleagues. Officials said none of these people have reported symptoms so far. Among the people on the list, two people have been classified in the highest-risk category, 13 in the high-risk category and 62 in the low-risk category. All those in the highest-risk and high-risk categories have also been placed under quarantine.
