For the unversed, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai clashed with Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s pan-India film, Peddi. The Buchi Babu Sana-directed film did fantastic business at the box office. It crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office, despite receiving backlash from the audience over the portrayal of Janhvi’s character in the film. Peddi also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan and others in key roles.
