Maruti Suzuki Dzire stayed at the top with 24,546 units in May 2026 — 36% more than the 18,084 units sold in May 2025, and 966 units ahead of April 2026. The fourth-gen Dzire arrived in November 2024 with a new design, updated features and a 1.2-litre Z-Series petrol engine. The CNG variant is doing serious numbers too and contributes significantly to the monthly total. Priced from Rs 6.26 lakh to Rs 9.31 lakh (ex-showroom), it goes up against the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze. Both private buyers and fleet operators are buying it, which is what keeps the volume consistent month after month.
