Additional Deputy Commissioner of Northwest District, Delhi Police, Sikandar Singh said, “It was an ego issue and a very trivial matter which took a violent turn. The arrested accused, Ashu, and the deceased had an altercation three days ago over some insignificant matter. The victim said to the accused, ‘Who is sitting here like cats and dogs?’ This comment did not sit well with Ashu, who got offended and a verbal altercation followed. Sahil even threatened the accused on Instagram and on calls. It was a grudge which he held and vowed to avenge the humiliation. The accused took the taunt upon his ego.”
