In a separate development with regard to internal rebellion in the TMC, Mamata Banerjee called a core committee meeting comprising of party MLAs and MPs on Friday. However, only 8 MLAs and 6 MPs turned up for the meeting. There were conflicting reports on the attendance of the TMC lawmakers, as some suggested that the party supremo had only called some selected lawmakers (part of the core committee), while some suggested that a major chunk of them skipped the it.
