The Dhaka division has emerged as the worst-hit region during the current outbreak. According to health officials, more than 33,000 suspected measles cases have been reported in Dhaka, over 9,000 measles infections have been officially confirmed nationwide, nearly 57,000 patients are currently hospitalised, at least 585 deaths linked to measles have been reported, and around 90 deaths have been officially confirmed as measles-related.
