The order further noted, “To prevent the spread of misinformation and rumours through various social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and X, as well as through SMS services, restrictions have been imposed. Such platforms could be used to facilitate the mobilisation of mobs, agitators, and demonstrators, potentially leading to loss of life, damage to public and private property, arson, vandalism, and other violent activities.”
