Nearly 4 In 10 Indians Dip Fries In Chocolate! What’s Behind This New Food Obsession?

Charlie Angelakos, Vice President, Global External Affairs and Sustainability at McCain Foods, said the report shows fries have become more than just a food item. According to him, they are now tied to comfort, shared moments and everyday rituals across cultures. India, in particular, stood out for its emotional connection with fries and its willingness to experiment with flavours. The report also found that fries are becoming deeply social in India. Around 65% said they would share fries on a first date, while 44% considered refusing to share fries a relationship red flag. In other words, fries are now part snack, part personality test.
