MS Dhoni is the only captain to achieve this feat more than once. Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made it to the finals of IPL 2010 (winners), 2011 (winners), 2012 and 2013. They lifted the trophy upon their return in 2018, while they suffered a one-run defeat against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2019 final. CSK’s form has dwindled since IPL 2020.
