“Whatever I was trying to suggest, whatever I was trying to implement, as a part of team support, for the huge chance we had to qualify for the next round of the qualifiers for the World Cup, which would be the first time in the history of Indian football that we qualified in the final round, nothing was going well, to be honest. It was only promises, promises, and nothing coming out of it. We started having problems before the Asian Games, before going there, with all these things where clubs didn’t want to let the players join the national team,” he said.
