This comes after the pilot of Air India flight AI-2379, operating from Phuket to Delhi, was de-rostered following the incident in which the aircraft experienced a sudden loss of altitude, leaving some passengers injured. Sources said Air India has, since August 13, been conducting full screening of all its group pilots for substances or medications that are not permitted under prevailing regulations. The airline is submitting the test reports to the DGCA, which is examining the matter.
