This 1,800-Year-Old Temple Is Where Couples Go When Hoping To Have A Baby

In Hemmaragala village, near Nanjangud in Karnataka’s Mysuru district, there is a temple that people say is around 1,800 years old. It is called the Sri Santhana Venugopala Swamy Temple, but most people just know it as Huchappa Gopala, meaning “mad Gopala.” For years, couples who are trying to have a baby have been coming here to pray.
