The road side vendor that ended up whipping up that thonga of jhalmuri for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would’ve have never anticipated how his Sunday was about to go! Right in the middle of an intense campaign for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, the PM halted for a minute to savour some delicious, local jhalmuri. After asking the vendor to make him a serving, PM Modi proceeded to pay for the same. While the vendor wouldn’t initially accept money from the Prime Minister, he eventually agreed.
