The demands come after prolonged uncertainty surrounding the West Bengal school teacher recruitment process. WBUTA represents more than 12,000 candidates from the 2016 School Service Commission recruitment process who were declared untainted among the 26,000 appointments invalidated following a Supreme Court order on April 3, 2026.
