Iran's Missile Breakthrough: How Tehran's Tactics Exposed a US Air Defense Weakness

Seth G Jones, president of the defence and security department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told The New York Times that Iran’s combination of missiles and drones was making air defence increasingly difficult. “The Iranians are making it more difficult on air defenses when you have a range of both missiles and drones coming in,” he said. “They have effectively leveraged the Russian tactic,” he added, “to make it more difficult to protect across locations in the Gulf.”
