Glimpses of the tangible grandeur in the works was shared by the official handle, and so far, they truly do feel like pieces which can transport you in time, and back. The ‘wish cuffs’ stand out in this regard. Crafted in a combination of 18-karat and 22-karat Gold with Garnet cabochons and studded with brilliant-cut brown diamonds, this piece is directly inspired by a 3rd century Roman sculpture – specifically, the marble sarcophagus featuring lions felling antelope. The pendant necklace built similarly in Gold, studded with Tourmaline, Garnet, Jasper, Lapis Lazuli and Jade, is inspired by a Marble funerary relief from the 2nd and 3rd centuries CE. The tiger claw motif-studded with cabochons of Tourmaline and Jade on the other hand, highlight the use of brown diamonds inspired by a 12th century Italian bone-ivory carved panel depicting animals. Finally, there’s the similarly-studded Gold wrist cuff, inspired by the marble sarcophagus with the Triumph of Dionysos and the Seasons, from 260-270 CE.
