A Yin and Ying build, a literal life-sized nine-grid hot pot and blazing red interiors cased in concrete – a visit to China does not get more touristy, or literal, if you happen to make your way to the Maple Leaf Village Hot Spring Resort in Heilongjiang Province’s Harbin. Here, you get to float in varying ‘broths’, be the ‘meat’ in a sea of very real ingredients – we literally can’t conceive of any other explanation! – and basically float through a day of sensory stimulation that is bound to turn into a conversation starter for any party you go to next. There’s only one question you should ask yourself – are you willing to soak in a ‘hot pot’?
