Her father, Nozer Amalsadiwala, captained India at the previous Pickleball World Cup, and this year Naomi and her sister Pearl will wear the India jersey together. Reflecting on that journey, Naomi said, “Watching him wear the India jersey and captain the team at the World Cup was incredibly inspiring. To now wear the same India jersey, and to do it alongside my sister, is something I honestly can’t put into words.” She added that her father’s biggest lesson has always stayed with her, “Representing India is an honour, not an entitlement.” According to Naomi, those words remind her that playing for the country means representing something much bigger than personal success.
