The storied rivalry between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will culminate at SummerSlam 2026 when the former tag team champions lock horns in the main event of the show. Reigns, who is the World Heavyweight Champion, will defend his title against Rollins. Rollins never lost this title, as he was forced to relinquish it due to an injury he suffered at Crown Jewel 2026. He claims to have made this title relevant. Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins: Rollins is likely to end this rivalry with a win. It also means that he will clinch the World Heavyweight Championship. The Rock could make his return during the main event to help Rollins win the title. Should Rollins win the title, he will once again start defending it regularly. Reigns has only defended the title twice since winning it at Wrestlemania 42.

Interim Women’s Championship match
Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green and Lash Legend will compete in a Ladder Match to crown the interim women’s champion. Becky Lynch could make a surprise return and join this match. If Becky returns, she would be the favourite to win the title. If she doesn’t return, then WWE could finally reward Chelsea.
Danhausen vs Dominik Mysterio: Danhausen is likely to defeat Dominik Mysterio in the Human Monies on a Pole match at SummerSlam. He has been on a roll since his WWE debut and looks set to register another win.
Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor: Sami and Balor will lock horns in a number one title contender match for the WWE Championship. Balor enters this match as favourite and he will face Punk next if he defeats Sami.
Trick Williams vs Balor Corbin: Williams’ reign as the United States Champion is likely to end at SummerSlam with a defeat against Corbin. Corbin recently made his WWE return and WWE will have to give him the title to make his return worth it. He was released in 2024.
