The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued the official schedule for the document verification process for UGNEET 2026 candidates seeking admission to medical, dental, and AYUSH courses across the state. The document verification will take place from August 4 to August 8, 2026.
Newly registered candidates or those yet to complete document verification are required to appear for the process within the given timeframe.
Through an official post on X, KEA said that candidates will have to book a verification slot from August 2 through the link that will be made available on the official website. The authority also clarified that only candidates with booked slots will be allowed to undergo the document verification process at the designated centres.
Who Needs to Undergo Document Verification?
According to the authority, the following candidates must undergo the document verification process:
- Candidates claiming NRI Ward, NRI or Foreign National categories.
- Candidates registered for CET-2026 but could not download the verification slip due to non-verification of Kannada, Rural, Linguistic or Religious Minority.
- Newly registered candidates with claims like Kannada, Rural, Linguistic or Religious Minority.
- Candidates seeking admission under St. John’s Medical College Category RC-2 to RC-8.
However, candidates belonging to St. John’s Medical College Category RC-1 and RC-9 do not have to undergo document verification.
Who Does Not Need Verification?
KEA has clarified that document verification is not required for:
- Candidates who have already downloaded their verification slip after entering their NEET roll number. Such candidates only have to download the verification slip again.
- Candidates who have registered newly and have not claimed any reservation.
Important Instructions
Candidates should note that they must appear in person for document verification, and no representative will be allowed to attend on their behalf. They are also advised to carry all the original documents, as per the UGNEET 2026 information booklet.
Candidates falling under the NRI, NRI Ward, Foreign National, Kannada, Rural, Linguistic and Religious Minority categories will undergo verification at the KEA Office, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru.
Those claiming admission under St. John’s Medical College Category RC-2 to RC-8 should report to the Medical College Council Room at St. John’s Medical College, Koramangala, Bengaluru for document verification.
