The Chief Minister requested that Bastar be granted the same special provision as Arunachal Pradesh, where habitations located within a 10-kilometre radius are treated as one cluster under PMGSY-IV. He said this would enable a much larger number of remote villages to be connected by roads, ensuring better access to education, healthcare, agriculture, employment opportunities, and government services.
