In March, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) denied Uzair Baloch’s bail pleas in seven cases related to murder, a police encounter, and possession of explosives. Uzair and several others were reportedly charged with attacking law enforcers in 2012 within the jurisdiction of the Kalakot police station. Uzair was convicted by a military court and had been convicted for spying and awarded 12 years of imprisonment to him.
