While pronouncing the sentence, the court observed that the “manner of crime was of utmost brutality” and said the assault on the victim was so vicious that “even after death, the body did not slump to the ground.” The court further noted that the victim’s body was allegedly dragged to Chand Bagh before being thrown into a drain (nala) in an apparent attempt to dispose of the evidence.
