The US Embassy in Buenos Aires was evacuated on Wednesday after it received a reported bomb threat, prompting a security response from Argentine authorities. A large police presence was deployed around the embassy in the Palermo neighbourhood of the Argentine capital, while the Explosives Unit of the Argentine Federal Police carried out checks at the site.
