President Donald Trump said he hopes to attend his son’s wedding this weekend but noted the timing is difficult due to ongoing international matters, including the situation with Iran.
When asked whether he would be at the event, Trump replied that his son would like him there, describing it as a small, private affair.
“I’d like to go, but it’s going to be just a small little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it,” Trump said.
“I said: ‘You know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things.’”
He added, with characteristic humor:
“That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend I get killed. If I don’t attend I get killed by the fake news, of course.”
Trump went on to say that his son is marrying someone he has known for a long time and expressed hope for a strong marriage.

“He’s got a person I’ve known for a long time, and hopefully they’re going to have a great marriage.”
The remarks come as Trump continues to manage multiple international priorities, including the fragile ceasefire with Iran and ongoing diplomatic efforts. No further details about the wedding or Trump’s final plans were provided.
