A Home With Just One Room
Harjinder was born on October 14, 1996, into a landless farming family. Meaning, they did not even own the land they worked on. Her father, Sahib Singh, was the only one earning for the household, and money was tight enough that even basic training expenses were hard to come by. Her mother, Kuldeep Kaur, and her older brother, Pritpal Singh, shared that same one-room house with her – no separate bedrooms, no extra space, just one room that held an entire family’s life.
