Nifty, Sensex Close Flat Amid Global Tech Sell-Off, US-Iran Deal Hopes

Both the Nifty and the Sensex ended the trading day flat. The Nifty closed at 23,985.35 and the Sensex ended at 76,765.92 on Tuesday. Investors continued to cheer the decline in crude oil prices and easing geopolitical concerns in West Asia. Oil prices extended losses after the pause in the US-Iran conflict, with Brent Crude prices falling below 86 dollars per barrel (at the time of filing this copy). Sectoral indices ended the trading day mixed, with some reflecting rangebound gains and others losses, with defence, energy and FMCG shares declining the most. Broader markets also ended in rangebound territory.
